No one dies on the X-Factor... How disappointing!

So it was another week for the X-Factor. Paije Richardson was sent home because the judges chose to save Cher Lloyd instead of him. Actually, I think Paije should thank the judges for saving him. Every time after he performed, he looked like he was about to pass out due to lack of oxygen. Eliminating him was the best way to avoid the first death ever on the X-Factor, or is it reality show history? I wonder what would happen if he did die on the show? I mean, would the medical definition of Breathing be altered? Imagine a dictionary saying "Breathing is not meant to be a voluntary task, however, continuously performing on the X-Factor whilst knowing you are about to run out of breathe, is." Just imagine! That would probably be the biggest achievement of the show! Had Simon realize this before he sent Paije home, his evil ego would definitely have persuaded him to do what I expected him to have done, which is to put his show out there, by out there, I really mean out there. As out there as torturing Paije to death, in order to receive as much as press as possible for the show.

Back to the show. This week was all about the Beatles' songs. Some much for trying to relevant and current, eh, Simon. First Elton, now this. Anyway, first contestant up was Matt Cardle, who sang Come Together... Did he just try to man himself up but failed and completely lost it during halfway of the song? Guess he did. It was such an average performance that it was disappointing. Even Olly Murs' rendition of the song was better. Speaking of Olly Murs, his performance on the results show was just as average.

Secondly, Cheryl made some comments on some comments Wagner made to the press about her. Again, to make it clearer, Cheryl said something about something the press said about something Wagner said about her. All these week her and Simon have been trying to convince the public that what the press says about Katie and Cher aren't necessarily true but yet she believed those about Wagner, um, hypocrite much? And I also thought it was so unprofessional for Cheryl to attack Wagner whilst she was meant to be judging his performance, like...

(That's Chanel Iman and Coco Rocha btw.)

Is "sweetheart" now the new term for "rude/unprofessional/hypocritical/fake bitch"? If so, then Cheryl is well suited for the title "nation's sweetheart".

This bunch of contestants has got to be the most boring on any talent shows. They seem to just stick to what they know how to do. Although Rebecca Ferguson did add something new this week. I mean she walked from one point of the stage to another and even lost the mic stand! Who would have thought! What massive changes to her performance!

Not.

Who else is on the chopping block? Oh, One Direction, ugh, I don't even... Just stop with the over blasting backup track and auto-tune, or whatever technical assistant it is, please. Does Simon seriously think boybands still work? They will probably have a few minor hits in the UK and that will most likely be it. 5 Justin Biebers are just too much. Is it even appropriate to call them Justin Bieber wannabes? What an insult to the newly crowded Artist of the Year of the American Music Awards 2010! Can anyone believe he won the award over Eminem, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha and Katy Perry? Really? Thinking about this now makes me fear that One Direction may actually have a tiny tad more success than I think. I hope not, though.

Something I really feel the need to talk about is Katie's new haircut.

Seeing Frodo hair on national television, whilst 2011 is approaching is such an unbelievable fashion tragedy. It's almost as terrifying as finding out Santa Claus isn't real! In other words, it scares kids. Heck! Even fully grown adults get frightened by this hair! It just proves that it's even worse to see Katie in this hair than to discover the harshest truth in the universe!

On the results show, Paije's bottom 2 rival was Cher. It came as a shock to many people, myself included. She chose to sing Stay again, for survival. I'm really not a big fan of contestants repeating songs. We get it, you cry everytime you sing that song, no need to emphasize that. Next!

Overall, I felt bad for Paije leaving but he surely overstayed his welcome so I wasn't so upset, but was upset enough to mention his name one last time before I finish off this post... Finally, I can totally see counting and mocking the (fail) achievements of the X-Factor being my new playground! Considering how this show just keeps better each week! Let's see what next week's show will bring us!

Next post will be something related to fashion, hopefully.
