Ugh! Ke$ha is back!!

Yes! Eek 'til you die! Actually, she has never been gone but it seems quite compulsory to say someone is back when they release something new... right? But can I just dedicate my first ever blog post to the stunning Ke$ha and new EP, Cannibal? Yes/No/Hell Yes?

Oh, just for you information, the lead single We R Who We R topped the Billboard Top 100 last week, making it one of the only 17 songs in history to debut at No. 1! MAKE US KE$HIANS PROUD! I wonder what the other 16 songs were, though.

The majority of the tracks on this EP is equally catchy, with a few stand-outs. My ultimate favourite off this EP has got to be "Blow". Convenient title, this song blows, seriously, the chorus makes you hook on the song just like that. She keeps surprising and impressing me with her clever yet annoying use of auto-tune. For those artists who think she only survives on auto-tune are only jealous that they can't use it the way Ke$ha does. Not that I'm a great supporter of auto-tunes but in other words...

Yeah... like that.

As mentioned previously, We R Who We R was on the top of the Billboard Top 100, so obviously it's an awesome song. The song puts a big grin on my face everytime I listen to it, not literally the song does that but the lyrics were written almost in a way for pure entertainment purpose, for me, at least. The Harold Song is the new Dancing with Tears in My Eyes but slightly less epic and vocal challenging. It is nice to, once in a while, hear her sing a slow song and really express an emotion that is not a mixture of moans and groans of a poor drunk girl in the street who is about to get arrested by a cop and even attempts to fight back. Even though that image makes her more approachable as an artist because that's basically what every teenage girl, like EVERY. TEENAGE. GIRL her age is doing. Just saying. Crazy Beautiful Life is too much of a rip-off of Your Love Is My Drug. Imagine YLIMD's music video, like it can totally be reused for CBL. Grow A Pear has major resemblances of TiK ToK and California Gurls. These two songs have always been known for sounding identical and Grow A Pear makes them identical triplets. CUNext Tuesday, um, this is the tricky one. The wordplay in the song title is the only good thing, I wonder if the title or song came first? Hmmm. Anyway, this song sounds like one of the tracks that didn't make it to one of Kylie's albums back in the 90's, not sure if that's a good thing though.

The rest of the EP deserve an honourable mention too, here they are... Cannibal, Sleazy and Animal (Billboard Remix). Done.

In conclusion, I'll unprofessionally give this EP a three and a half out of five stars. In details, I understand that this was supposed to be an Animal re-release but I would have given it a better review if the shadows of Animal wasn't that strong and nearly overpowering on Cannibal. Generally, as an Extended Play in whole, it is rather solid and yes, genius auto-tunes are genius. People who loved Animal would worship Cannibal like no other. However, despite all the praises (or critics) I have given to this album, it's better to keep it away from children because it is explicit, as many other albums are nowadays. I'm saying this just in case you were thinking this album might be suitable for your daughter or pregnancy music... like a Hannah Montana or something.

Btw this is my first ever blog post, think I mentioned it above but just so you know, yeah, it is my first blog post. Next post will probably be something fashion or television related... Hmmm... We'll see! Ciao!
